Our Kiwi - Huge scale pre-historic driftwood kiwi sculpture

Come see our huge kiwi sculpture sitting out front of Schnapps. It was constructed from wood from ancient forests destroyed by the Taupo volcano eruption.

The kiwi was designed and made by a local artist in Raurimu. The artist is currently creating 'The Forgotten World Project' which is a prehistoric driftwood sculpture park in the King Country of New Zealand. Dinosaurs and other animals of New Zealand will be made in full scale. You can currently see the first installation at Wades Landing, Raurimu which is of a T-Rex.
